Group 10 wing cars
The Team at MR have initiated a new class for up and coming Wing Car racers.
So RacerX has developed some G10 wing cars for our new entry level wing
car racers. As everyone knows, Peter D makes a mean machine. So the
Wing 10 cars (W10) as we call them, have already started selling with
great feedback. That means we are going to calendar some racing on a
Saturday night each month until December. The first W10 round will occur
next month on a saturday night. Pete has also agreed to do a Wing car
workshop for those entry level racers wanting to start wing car racing.
The dates will be posted soon within this forum, and will also appear as
Calendar links at the bottom of the index (home) page of the Forum. So
keep an eye out for them. A sign will also appear within the Raceway on
the wall under the banner ... "UP AND COMING EVENTS".
The emphasis for this new class is on new wing car racers, and those
guys that have played with wing cars but never raced at club or
competition level before. It's not meant for the Pro's! Sorry guys!
We have also come up with a neat way for anyone to "Rent, Try,
Race" (RTR) a W10 car. It works like this ....
1. An entry fee of $10 is due for the race.
2. If you don't own a W10 RTR car, you can pay a $20 fee which gives
you access to a W10 RTR car built and serviced by RacerX for a limited
practice time prior the race to qualified users. You'll also receive a $20 W10 voucher.
3. You can save the W10 vouchers and later use them as credit to
purchase one of the used W10 RTR cars.
4. All costs will be borne by the user for any parts that need replacing
such as gears and damaged wheels etc.
5. The motors are fully assembled and race spec'd by RacerX. The bodies
are also painted and winged by RacerX.
The rules will be coming soon in this forum ... http://www.mrslotcar.com.au/race/sho...=7595#post7595
W10 RTR cars are also available to qualified users for $30 for 15 minutes
on the Blue King at certain times (when the track is almost free of other
users). You'll also get the $20 voucher each time.
